I’ve Just Booked My Venue – What’s Next?
So you’ve just booked your dream wedding venue – what’s next?
Planning a wedding should be an enjoyable and stress-free experience! With so many decisions to make, where do you even begin?!
At the Bridge House Hotel, we have a dedicated team of Wedding Co-~Ordinators who are with you every step of the way to help you choose those all-important trusted suppliers; from the photographer to capture all those special moments, to your florist to help you choose your perfect arrangement!
Do Your Research!
Ask your venue if they have a recommended list of suppliers that they use regularly. Chances are is that they have 2/3 trusted suppliers that they know very well, & it makes such a difference when your suppliers are familiar with the wedding venue.
Take your time and research, research, research! You may have had a friend or relative who recently got married so chat to them to see if they would recommend any suppliers they had on their special day. Look at some recent reviews on their website & social media pages, & keep an eye out for testimonials from couple’s also!
Whilst it is important to book your suppliers as early as possible to lock in your favourites, it’s just as important not to rush the process. If you panic book the first supplier you come across (which can happen with all the excitement), you may start to second guess yourself at a later date as there are just so many amazingly talented people to choose from!
Make A Shortlist!
Once your venue is locked in, the next step we would recommend booking is your Photographer, Videographer, Celebrant & Band.
Some smaller suppliers such as your florist, wedding cake, room décor
etc. can be booked a little later on as they can take multiple bookings on each day.
Once you’ve made everything official & confirmed dates with your suppliers, you can relax a little & enjoy the excitement & build up to you special day!
