Horse Riding
The great thing about a horse-riding break at Annaharvey - besides the extensive cross-country-course over 380 acres of farm and woodland – and the centre’s fully equipped indoor-arena, so even when the rain starts, it won’t put a stop to your gallop! With cosy farmhouse accommodation and home-cooked meals, it’ll be a toss-up as to how long you want to spend on horse-back versus enjoying the produce of the farmhouse kitchen!
For riders and horse enthusiasts from all over the Midlands
For over 30 years, the centre has been catering for riders and horse enthusiasts from all over the Midlands. Today, Noel Cosgrave and his team of dedicated instructors offer riding lessons, cross-country treks and tuition 7 days a week. Birr Equestrian Centre has the unique advantage of holding a permit to trek on the Slieve Blooms, which means you can spend an unforgettable day on horseback, enjoying the breath-taking views and uncongested mountain trails.
